Privacy policy

TenantSnap is built so that we never see your data. There is no account, no server and no analytics. Everything you record stays on your iPhone until you decide to send or back it up.

What we collect

Nothing. We (the developer) do not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. The app contains no advertising, no tracking and no third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools.

What stays on your iPhone

• The rental details you type: address, names, email addresses and phone numbers.
• Your photos, notes, signatures and the reports you create.
• A SHA-256 fingerprint of each photo, used to show if a photo was changed later.

This data is stored in the app's private storage on your device. Deleting a rental, or deleting the app, removes it.

Permissions the app asks for

• Camera — to photograph the condition of the property.
• Microphone and speech recognition — only after you tap "Speak instead", so you can describe an issue by voice. Speech is turned into text on your iPhone; the audio is not recorded or uploaded.
• Location (optional) — to record where each photo was taken, as extra evidence that it was taken at the property. It is saved with the photo on your iPhone. You can say no and the app works the same.
• Notifications (optional) — for reminders you switch on, such as the day before your suggested send date.

When data leaves your iPhone

Only when you choose:

• Sending a report. You share the PDF through Mail, WhatsApp or another app you pick. It then goes to the people you send it to, under that app's privacy terms.
• Saving a backup. You pick where the backup file goes, for example Files or iCloud Drive.

Text tidy-up with Apple Intelligence

On iPhones that support Apple Intelligence, the app can tidy dictated notes with Apple's on-device language model. This runs on your iPhone; nothing is sent to us.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment; we receive no payment card or personal details.

Children

TenantSnap is intended for adults renting or letting a home. It does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
